{"id":29209,"date":"2025-01-06T09:16:06","date_gmt":"2025-01-06T03:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=29209"},"modified":"2025-04-09T01:20:42","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T19:50:42","slug":"panchayat-se-parliament-2-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/panchayat-se-parliament-2-0\/","title":{"rendered":"Panchayat Se Parliament 2.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Panchayat Se Parliament 2.0:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is organised by the <strong>National Commission for Women (NCW)<\/strong>, in <strong>collaboration with<\/strong> the <strong>Lok Sabha Secretariat<\/strong> and the <strong>Ministry of Tribal Affairs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The programme is being organised <strong>in commemoration o<\/strong>f the <strong>150th birth anniversary ofBhagwan Birsa Munda,<\/strong> the revered tribal leader and freedom fighter.<\/li>\n<li>It will <strong>bring together 502 elected women representatives from Scheduled Tribes across 22 states <\/strong>and Union Territories.<\/li>\n<li>Its primary focus is to <strong>empower<\/strong> these <strong>women representatives from Panchayati Raj institutions<\/strong> by enhancing their understanding of constitutional provisions, parliamentary procedures, and governance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The programme also aims to recognise the contributions of these representatives in areas such as education and rural development.<\/li>\n<li>It will <strong>include workshops, sessions,<\/strong> and a <strong>guided tour of key locations<\/strong> such as the new <strong>Parliament House, Samvidhan Sadan, Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya<\/strong>, and <strong>Rashtrapati Bhawan.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Lok Sabha Speaker will also lead the delegates in reading the Preamble to the Constitution of India during the event.<\/li>\n<li>This program <strong>builds on the success of<\/strong> the <strong>Panchayat Se Parliament 2024 initiative<\/strong>, which <strong>engaged 500 women sarpanch<\/strong> from across India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1<\/strong>: Who was Birsa Munda?<\/h3>\n<p>He was a folk hero and a tribal freedom fighter who played a pivotal role in the Indian independence movement, particularly in the tribal regions of British India. He belonged to the Munda tribe in the Chhotanagpur Plateau area. He spearheaded an Indian tribal mass movement that arose in the Bihar and Jharkhand belts in the early 19th century under British colonisation.
