{"id":29265,"date":"2025-01-08T02:26:41","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T20:56:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=29265"},"modified":"2025-04-09T01:46:17","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T20:16:17","slug":"toda-tribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/toda-tribe\/","title":{"rendered":"Toda Tribe"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Toda Tribe:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is one of the oldest ethnic groups residing in the Upper <strong>Nilgiris plateau in Tamil Nadu.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Todas are divided into five clans, namely: <strong>Paiki, Pekkan, Kuttan, Kenna and Todi.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Language: <\/strong>They have their own language, which does not have a script.<\/li>\n<li>They live in a closed community or <strong>hamlet called mund.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Society:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>patrilineage <\/strong>descent group whose membership is based upon a rule of patrilineal descent.
