{"id":29304,"date":"2025-01-09T09:17:37","date_gmt":"2025-01-09T03:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=29304"},"modified":"2025-04-09T02:04:17","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T20:34:17","slug":"garudakshi-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/garudakshi-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"Garudakshi Potal for Wildlife and Forest Crimes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Garudakshi Portal:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is <strong>software modelled<\/strong> on the online FIR system to curb wildlife and forests crimes.<\/li>\n<li>It will be implemented on a pilot basis in the Bengaluru Urban, Bhadravathi, Sirsi and Male Mahadeshwara Wildlife Sanctuary divisions of Karnataka.<\/li>\n<li>Once the software is implemented, registering FIRs using the Garudakshi portal will be made compulsory.<\/li>\n<li>It will enable the online handling of forest crime cases under the Forest and Wildlife Protection Acts.<\/li>\n<li>The portal will auto-generate formats for various reports and complaints.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Features<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The software consists of a <strong>Legacy Case Registration Module<\/strong>, Online Forest Offence Registration, Investigation Module and Reporting and Analytics Module.<\/li>\n<li>The portal will also allow the <strong>public to register complaints on forest offences<\/strong> using mobile phones or email addresses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is developed in collaboration with the <strong>WildLife Trust of India (WTI).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1: What is Wildlife Trust of India?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It is a non-profit conservation organisation, committed to urgent action that works towards the protection of India&#8217;s wildlife.
