{"id":29427,"date":"2025-01-15T04:55:02","date_gmt":"2025-01-14T23:25:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=29427"},"modified":"2025-04-09T03:00:41","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T21:30:41","slug":"bhargavastra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/bhargavastra\/","title":{"rendered":"What is Bhargavastra?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About Bhargavastra:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is <strong>India\u2019s first indigenous micro-missile system <\/strong>designed to <strong>take on the threat of swarm drones.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It was developed by the <strong>Economic Explosives Ltd.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It can quickly deploy on a<strong> mobile platform<\/strong> and <strong>hit targets over 2.5 km.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is capable of<strong> detecting even small<\/strong> incoming <strong>flying machines at over 6 km<\/strong> and can <strong>take them down using micro munitions<\/strong> that can be guided towards the threat.<\/li>\n<li>The system can <strong>simultaneously fire more than 64 micro missiles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is designed to <strong>operate in all terrains<\/strong>, including high-altitude areas, to meet specific requirements of the armed forces.<\/li>\n<li>Designed to meet the requirements of the Army Air Defence, this is the <strong>first counter-drone system that uses micro missiles.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are Swarm Drones?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SWARM stands for \u201c<strong>Smart War-Fighting Array of Reconfigured Modules<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Drone swarm technologies coordinate at least three and<strong> up to thousands of drones to perform missions cooperatively <\/strong>with <strong>limited<\/strong> need for <strong>human attention and control.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>For example, an aerial drone swarm could potentially assist with controlling a wildfire, assessing damages, finding access points, and suppressing the fire by raining firefighting liquids on it\u2014all with minimal human direction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Drone swarms may be <strong>more efficient and robust<\/strong> for certain applications than single drones because swarms <strong>cancomplete a variety of tasks in parallel without human supervision.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>And they can <strong>continue operating if individual drones become inoperable<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Drone swarms <strong>integrate advanced computer algorithmswith local sensing<\/strong> and <strong>communication technologiesto synchronize multiple drones<\/strong> to achieve a goal.<\/li>\n<li>Drone swarms can use <strong>various methods of command and control<\/strong>, including <strong>preprogrammed missions<\/strong> with specific predefined flight paths, <strong>centralized control by a ground station <\/strong>or a single control drone, or <strong>distributed control where the drones communicate and collaborate <\/strong>based on shared information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1: What are Ballistic Missiles?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ballistic missiles are powered initially by a rocket or series of rockets in stages, but then follow an unpowered trajectory that arches upwards before descending to reach its intended target.
