In addition, the perpetrator shall be liable to a prison term.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system of blood money <\/span><b>leaves the fate of the offender in the hands of the victim&#8217;s family.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Sharia law does not state a fixed amount <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for &#8216;diya&#8217;.
