{"id":29548,"date":"2026-08-28T12:15:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T06:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=29548"},"modified":"2026-08-28T13:11:48","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T07:41:48","slug":"national-disaster-response-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-disaster-response-force\/","title":{"rendered":"National Disaster Response Force"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Disaster Response Force Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams deployed in Bihar &amp; Uttar Pradesh to respond to any flood like situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Disaster Response Force<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was established under <\/span><b>section 44 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/disaster-management-act-2005\/\" target=\"_blank\">Disaster Management Act, 2005<\/a>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is aimed at specialized <\/span><b>responses to natural and man-made disasters.<\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Organisation Structure<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Initially established in 2006 with 8 Battalions, the NDRF has now expanded to 16 Battalions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NDRF functions as <\/span><b>an independent disaster response agency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> but draws its personnel from various central paramilitary forces.
