


{"id":29851,"date":"2025-02-03T07:08:15","date_gmt":"2025-02-03T01:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=29851"},"modified":"2025-04-09T11:22:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T05:52:53","slug":"pradhan-mantri-shram-yogi-maandhan-yojana-pm-sym","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/pradhan-mantri-shram-yogi-maandhan-yojana-pm-sym\/","title":{"rendered":"Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana Latest News<\/h2>\n<p>The budget 2025-26 allocation under the PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana increased by 37% compared to last year.<\/p>\n<h2>About Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a government scheme meant for the old-age protection and<strong> social security of unorganized workers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is a <strong>Central Sector Scheme<\/strong> administered by the <strong>Ministry of Labour and Employment <\/strong>and <strong>implemented through Life Insurance Corporation of India<\/strong> and CSC eGovernance Services India Limited (CSC SPV).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>LIC <\/strong>will be the <strong>Pension Fund Manager <\/strong>and responsible for pension pay out.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The amount collected under the PM-SYM shall be invested as per the investment pattern specified by the Government of India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana Eligibility<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Should be an <strong>Indian Citizen<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Unorganised Workers<\/strong> (working as street vendors, agriculture-related work, construction site workers, workers in industries of leather, handloom, mid-day meal, rickshaw or auto wheelers, rag picking, carpenters, fishermen, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Age group of <strong>18-40 years<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Monthly income is below Rs. 15000<\/strong> and not a member of EPFO\/ESIC\/NPS (Govt. funded).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana Features<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>voluntary and contributory <\/strong>pension scheme.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Minimum Assured Pension:<\/strong> Each subscriber under the PM-SYM shall receive minimum assured pension of <strong>Rs 3000\/- per month after <\/strong>attaining the <strong>age of 60 <\/strong>years.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contribution by the Subscriber:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The subscriber\u2019s contributions to PM-SYM shall be made through <strong>\u2018auto-debit\u2019 facility <\/strong>from his\/ her savings bank account\/Jan- Dhan account.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The subscriber is required to <strong>contribute the prescribed contribution amount<\/strong> from the age of joining PM-SYM <strong>till the age of 60 years.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Matching contribution by the Central Government:<\/strong> It is a pension scheme on a 50:50 basis where prescribed age-specific contributions shall be made by the beneficiary and the matching contribution by the Central Government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Family Pension:\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>During the receipt of pension, if the subscriber dies, the spouse of the beneficiary shall be entitled to receive 50% of the pension received by the beneficiary as a family pension. Family pension is applicable <strong>only to spouse.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>If a beneficiary has given regular contributions and died<\/strong> due to any cause (before age 60 years), his\/her <strong>spouse will be entitled to join and continue the scheme<\/strong> subsequently by payment of regular contributions <strong>or exit the scheme <\/strong>as per provisions of exit and withdrawal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exit<\/strong>:\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>Even if the subscriber wants to opt out of the scheme <strong>before 10 years,<\/strong> the <strong>share of the subscriber will be given back along with the interest<\/strong> amount accrued.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>If the subscriber <strong>opts out after 10 years <\/strong>but before 60 years of age, the <strong>share of the subscriber <\/strong>contribution,<strong> adding the accumulated interest<\/strong> will be given back to the candidate.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana FAQs<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q1<\/strong>.
