{"id":3015,"date":"2026-10-13T11:55:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-13T06:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=3015"},"modified":"2026-10-13T15:18:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-13T09:48:09","slug":"sarus-crane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/sarus-crane\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarus Crane"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Sarus Crane Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) has announced a nationwide survey to estimate the population of Sarus Cranes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Sarus Crane<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><b>tallest flying bird in the world.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Habitat:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They live mainly found in wetlands, <\/span><b>marshes, shallow water bodies, grasslands and agricultural landscapes.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Distribution:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They live in <\/span><b>Southeast Asia, northern India, and northern Australia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In India, most sarus cranes are distributed along the <\/span><b>Gangetic plain<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and in <\/span><b>eastern Rajasthan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the northern states of India.
