{"id":3095,"date":"2023-02-15T02:59:15","date_gmt":"2023-02-14T21:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=3095"},"modified":"2025-03-26T10:16:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T04:46:32","slug":"initiatives-under-youth-power","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/initiatives-under-youth-power\/","title":{"rendered":"Initiatives under Youth Power"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Key Initiatives under Youth Power:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It will be launched <strong>to skill lakhs of youth within the next three years.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The scheme will <strong>emphasize on-job training, industry partnership<\/strong>, and <strong>alignment of courses with the needs of the industry.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The scheme will <strong>also cover new-age courses for Industry 4.0<\/strong>, like coding, Artificial Intelligence, robotics, mechatronics, IOT, 3D printing, drones, and soft skills.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What is Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana?<\/h3>\n<p>It is the <strong>flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development &amp; Entrepreneurship<\/strong> (MSDE) implemented by the <strong>National Skill Development Corporation.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective<\/strong>: To enable a large number of <strong>Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training<\/strong> that will help them in securing a better livelihood.<\/p>\n<p>Under the scheme, <strong>individuals with prior learning experience<\/strong> or skills will also be assessed and <strong>certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It was launched in August 2016 to promote apprenticeship training in the country.<\/li>\n<li>It provides stipend support to the apprentices, undertakes capacity building of the apprenticeship ecosystem, and provides advocacy assistance to support rapid growth.<\/li>\n<li>The government of India will share 25% of the prescribed stipend subject to a maximum of Rs. 1500 per month per apprentice with the employers.<\/li>\n<li>Budget 2023: Direct Benefit Transfer under a pan-India National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme will be rolled out to provide stipend support to 47 lakh youth in three years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Skill India digital platform:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A unified Skill India digital platform will be launched <strong>to focus on formal skilling as per demands.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It will <strong>provide access to entrepreneurship scheme<\/strong>s and <strong>link job-seekers with employers<\/strong>, including MSMEs.<\/li>\n<li>It will <strong>prepare the younger generation for international jobs<\/strong>. For this, <strong>30 Skill Indian International Centres <\/strong>will be set up across the nation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What is National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)?<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0NSDC was set up by the Ministry of Finance as Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organisations that provide skill training.
