Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors (PM-YUVA 3.0) have been declared, with 43 young authors selected through an All-India contest. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About PM-YUVA 3.0 Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Prime Minister\u2019s Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors (PM-YUVA 3.0)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aims to <\/span><b>nurture young writers under 30 years<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of age, providing them with <\/span><b>mentorship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and exposure to hone their creative writing skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme will help to develop a stream of writers who can <\/span><b>write on various facets of India, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">encompassing the past, present, and future.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PM-YUVA 3.0 intends to bring to the fore the perspectives of the young generation of writers on the f<\/span><b>ollowing themes:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Contribution of Indian Diaspora in Nation Building;<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Indian Knowledge System; and<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Makers of Modern India (1950-2025).<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Besides, the scheme will also provide a window for the aspiring youth to <\/span><b>articulate themselves<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>present a comprehensive outlook of the contribution of Indians<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across fields in ancient and present times.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>National Book Trust (NBT)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, India, u<\/span><b>nder the Ministry of Education <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as the <\/span><b>Implementing Agency,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will ensure phase-wise execution of the scheme under well-defined stages of mentorship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Selection Process:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme <\/span><b>invites applications<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from aspiring writers <\/span><b>through MyGov India\u2019s online portal.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A competitive process <\/span><b>shortlists 50 young authors<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> based on a well\u00ad-defined evaluation criterion.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of authors to be selected as per the theme:<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>NBT will constitute <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>selection committee.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Applicants <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are<\/span><b> required to submit a book proposal of 10,000 words<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which is then reviewed by a panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>shortlisted candidates undergo <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a<\/span><b> multi-stage selection process<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before the final selection.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Applicants <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who had<\/span><b> qualified for the PM-YUVA Scheme 1.0 and PM-YUVA Scheme 2.0 are not eligible <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for the PM-YUVA 3.0 scheme.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Mentorship and Support:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected authors receive a <\/span><b>mentorship program spanning six months.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The authors undergo <\/span><b>workshops, interactions with mentors,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>exposure to India\u2019s literary ecosystem.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of mentorship, a <\/span><b>consolidated scholarship of \u20b950,000 per month for a period of 6 months (50,000 x 6 = \u20b93 Lakh) per author<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be paid under the Mentorship Scheme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>book or a series of books written <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by the young authors will be <\/span><b>published by NBT,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> India as the outcome of the mentorship programme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>royalty of 10%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be payable to the authors on successful publications of their books at the end of the Mentorship Program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>books <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">thus published under the scheme<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">may be<\/span><b> translated into other Indian languages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the mentorship, a<\/span><b> National Camp will be held<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the PM\u00adYUVA 3.0 Authors <\/span><b>during the New Delhi World Book Fair 2026.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected authors get the <\/span><b>opportunity to present their work at literary festivals <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and international
