{"id":3290,"date":"2023-02-12T09:36:22","date_gmt":"2023-02-12T04:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=3290"},"modified":"2025-03-26T11:30:38","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T06:00:38","slug":"dayanand-saraswati","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/dayanand-saraswati\/","title":{"rendered":"Dayanand Saraswati"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>About Dayanand Saraswati:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Swami Dayanand Saraswati was a <strong>philosopher, social leader and founder of the Arya Samaj<\/strong>, a reform movement of Vedic dharma.<\/li>\n<li>He established the Arya Samaj on April 7, 1875, in Bombay &#8212; with 10 principles that are beautifully based purely on God, soul and nature.<\/li>\n<li>This organisation brought about immense changes in the religious perceptions of Indians.<\/li>\n<li>He was the first to give the call <strong>for Swaraj as &#8220;India for Indian&#8221; in 1876<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>He preached &#8216;Universalism&#8217;, and not any specific caste.<\/li>\n<li>He introduced a complete overhaul of the education system and is often considered one of the visionaries of modern India.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Dayanand Anglo Vedic schools<\/strong> came into existence in 1886 to realize the vision of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.<\/li>\n<li>The first DAV School was established in <strong>Lahore with Mahatma Hansarj<\/strong> as the headmaster.<\/li>\n<li>One of his most influential works is the <strong>book Satyarth Prakash<\/strong>, which contributed to the Indian independence movement.<\/li>\n<li>His followers included Sri Aurobindo and S.
