The last was on December 2, 1852, in Basti, Uttar Pradesh.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key facts about<\/strong> <strong>Aubrite meteorites<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Aubrite meteorites are coarse-grained <strong>igneous rocks<\/strong> that are formed in <strong>oxygen-poor conditions.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>They contain a variety of <strong>exotic minerals<\/strong> that are not found on Earth.<\/li>\n<li>The recently found aubrite meteorite in Gujarat is composed of orthopyroxene.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What are Pyroxenes?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Pyroxenes are <strong>silicates <\/strong>consisting of single chains of <strong>silica tetrahedra<\/strong> (SiO 4)<\/li>\n<li>Pyroxenes such as <strong>diopside<\/strong> and <strong>jadeite <\/strong>have been used as gems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spodumene<\/strong> was historically used as lithium ore and rocks with pyroxene have also been used to make a crushed stone that is used in construction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is a meteorite?<\/h3>\n<p>A meteorite is a fragment of spatial matter that falls to the surface of a planet.
