{"id":3394,"date":"2023-02-14T03:15:51","date_gmt":"2023-02-13T21:45:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=3394"},"modified":"2025-03-26T12:10:08","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T06:40:08","slug":"initiatives-under-inclusive-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/initiatives-under-inclusive-development\/","title":{"rendered":"Initiatives under Inclusive Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Key Initiatives under Inclusive Development:<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Agriculture:<\/h3>\n<h3>Digital Public Infrastructure for Agriculture<strong>:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It will be built as an <strong>open source, open standard, and inter-operable public good.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim<\/strong>: To <strong>enable inclusive farmer-centric solutions<\/strong> through relevant information services for <strong>crop planning<\/strong> and help improve <strong>access to farm input, credit, and insurance<\/strong>, help for <strong>crop estimation, market intelligence<\/strong>, and support for the <strong>growth of the agritech industry and startups.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Agriculture Accelerator Fund:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It will be set up to <strong>encourage agri-startups by young entrepreneurs in rural areas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Fund will aim at <strong>bringing innovative and affordable solutions<\/strong> for challenges faced by farmers.<\/li>\n<li>It will also <strong>bring in modern technologies<\/strong> to transform agricultural practices and <strong>increase<\/strong> <strong>productivity and profitability.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Atmanirbhar Horticulture Clean Plant Program:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It will be launched to <strong>improve the availability of disease-free quality planting material<\/strong> for high-value <strong>horticultural crops.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>total outlay<\/strong> on the project is estimated at \u20b9<strong>2,200 crore.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Agriculture Credit:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>agriculture credit target will be increased to 20 lakh crore<\/strong> with a <strong>focus on animal husbandry, dairy, and fisheries.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It helps to provide higher farm loans at subsidized rates to the farming community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<h3>Global Hub for Millets: \u2018Shree Anna\u2019:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>India is the world&#8217;s largest producer and second-largest exporter<\/strong> of \u2018Shree Anna (Millets)\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Indian Institute of Millet Research, Hyderabad will be supported as the Centre of Excellence<\/strong> for sharing best practices, research, and technologies at the international level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New sub-scheme of PM Matsya Sampada Yojana:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>This sub-scheme would <strong>enable activities for fishermen, fish vendors, and micro &amp; small enterprises while also helping them expand markets.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>New sub-scheme of PM Matsya Sampada Yojana:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>This sub-scheme would <strong>enable activities for fishermen, fish vendors, and micro &amp; small enterprises while also helping them expand markets.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It will have a<strong> targeted investment of\u00a0 6,000 crores.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Health, Education, and Skilling<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Target: To eliminate sickle cell anaemia by 2047.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The mission will <strong>entail awareness creation<\/strong>, universal screening of <strong>seven crore people in the 0-40 years age group in affected tribal areas<\/strong>, and <strong>counseling<\/strong> through collaborative efforts of central ministries and state governments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<h3>National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It will be <strong>set up to facilitate the availability of quality books<\/strong> across geographies, languages, genres, and levels and device agnostic accessibility.<\/li>\n<li><strong>States would also be encouraged to set up physical libraries at panchayat and ward levels<\/strong> and <strong>provide infrastructure for accessing the National Digital Library resources.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The National Book Trust, Children\u2019s Book Trust, and other sources will be encouraged to provide and replenish non-curricular titles in regional languages and English to these physical libraries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Users can access educational materials ranging from elementary to post-graduate levels.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1)\u00a0What is meant by inclusive development?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0Inclusive development promotes fair opportunities for all, regardless of social and financial standing, with advantages accruing to each and every segment of society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/business\/union-budget-2023-here-are-saptarshi-the-7-priorities-of-union-budget-3742226\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><u>Union Budget 2023: Here Are &#8220;Saptarshi&#8221;
