If left unchecked, it can start infringing on \u2013 and ultimately take control of \u2013 people\u2019s lives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Increased use of AI &amp; privacy<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Businesses across industries are increasingly deploying AI to analyse preferences and personalize user experiences, boost productivity, and fight fraud.\n<ul>\n<li>For example, ChatGPT Plus, has already been integrated by <strong>Snapchat<\/strong>, <strong>Unreal<\/strong> <strong>Engine<\/strong> and <strong>Shopify<\/strong> in their applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>This growing use of AI has already transformed the way the global economy works and how businesses interact with their consumers.<\/li>\n<li>However, in some cases it is also beginning to infringe on people\u2019s privacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fixing accountability<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>AI should be regulated so that the entities using the technology act responsible and are held accountable.<\/li>\n<li>Laws and policies should be developed that broadly govern the algorithms which will help promote responsible use of AI and make businesses accountable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>News Summary Regarding AI Regulation:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The G7 ministers\u2019 agreement sets a landmark for how major countries <strong>govern AI amid privacy concerns and security risks.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Such regulation should <strong>preserve an open and enabling environment<\/strong> for the development of AI technologies and be based on democratic values.<\/li>\n<li>However, the policy instruments to achieve the common vision and goal of trustworthy <strong>AI may vary across G7 members.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The ministers plan to convene<strong> future G7 discussions on generative AI <\/strong>which could include topics such as governance, how to safeguard intellectual property rights including copyright, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Japan<\/strong>, the chair of 49th G7 annual summit, has taken an accommodative approach on AI developers, pledging support for public and industrial adoption of AI.<\/li>\n<li>Japan hoped to get the G7 <strong>to agree on agile or flexible governance<\/strong>, rather than preemptive, catch-all regulation over AI technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1) What is ChatGPT?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and released in November 2022.
