{"id":3542,"date":"2023-03-02T03:30:35","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T22:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=3542"},"modified":"2025-03-26T16:21:08","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T10:51:08","slug":"vaibhav-fellowship-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/vaibhav-fellowship-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"VAIBHAV Fellowship Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About<\/strong> <strong>the VAIBHAV Fellowship scheme:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The fellowship offers Non-Resident Indian (NRI) researchers an opportunity to work for a <strong>minimum of one month to a maximum of two months a year <\/strong>with a research institution or an academic institution in India.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> Three years with the government offering the researchers an amount of up to Rs 37 lakh for the entire period.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim: <\/strong>Improving the research ecosystem of India\u2019s Higher Educational Institutions by facilitating academic and research collaborations between Indian Institutions and the best institutions in the world.<\/li>\n<li>This is done through the mobility of faculty\/researchers from overseas institutions to India.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong> Researchers from institutions featuring in the top <strong>500 QS World University Rankings <\/strong>will be eligible for the fellowship.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant should be a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and she or he must have obtained Ph.D\/M.D\/M.S degree from a recognized University.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Significance:<\/strong> The best of Diaspora minds will collaborate with domestic Minds to deliver world-class projects and products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) Who is an NRI?<\/h3>\n<p>NRI stands for Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
