


{"id":3578,"date":"2023-03-04T04:26:22","date_gmt":"2023-03-03T22:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=3578"},"modified":"2025-03-26T16:33:31","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T11:03:31","slug":"what-is-the-finance-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-the-finance-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the Finance Commission?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Finance Commission:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What is it?<\/strong> It is <strong>constitutional body for giving recommendations on distribution of tax revenues between the Union and the States<\/strong> and amongst the States themselves.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Who constitutes?<\/strong> The Finance Commission is <strong>constituted by the President under article 280<\/strong> of the Constitution.<\/li>\n<li>It is constituted at the <strong>end of every fifth year or earlier<\/strong>, as the deemed necessary by the President.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parliament may by law determine<\/strong> the requisite qualifications for appointment as members of the Commission and the procedure of their selection.
