the earth is one family,and all individuals are collectively responsible towards each other and their shared future.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>This shapes India&#8217;s vision of sustainable living.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>India&#8217;s G20 Presidency aims to nurture, celebrate, and incorporate<\/strong>\u00a0the cultural diversity of the member states while striving towards achieving holistic living and building a pro-planet society.<\/li>\n<li>The G20 Culture Working Group stands among the\u00a0<strong>13 thematic Working Groups<\/strong>\u00a0set up by the Indian Presidency to frame the G20 process in 2023.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Culture Working Group<\/strong>\u00a0brings together representatives from G20 Member countries, etc., to discuss priorities and provide recommendations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Four culture-related priorities set forth by the Indian Presidency are &#8211;<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Protection and Restitution of Cultural Property<\/li>\n<li>Harnessing Living Heritage for a Sustainable Future<\/li>\n<li>Promotion of Cultural and Creative Industries and the Creative Economy<\/li>\n<li>Leveraging Digital Technologies for the Protection and the Promotion of Culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The working group is expected to meet 4 times across the working process in\u00a0<strong>Khajuraho, Bhubaneshwar, Hampi and Varanasi<\/strong>, leading up to a G20 culture ministerial meeting.<\/li>\n<li>The outcomes of the Culture Working Group will also feed into the\u00a0<strong>18th G20 Summit<\/strong>\u00a0to be held in September 2023.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"media\">\n<div data-oembed-url=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=59RBl80kwC8\">\n<div><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/59RBl80kwC8\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Highlights of the Outcome Document \u2018Kashi Culture Pathway\u2019:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It highlights the need to address<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\n<ul>\n<li>The destruction of cultural heritage in situations of conflict,<\/li>\n<li>The curbing of illicit trafficking of artifacts,<\/li>\n<li>The restitution of cultural property and<\/li>\n<li>The need to protect living heritage, especially of indigenous people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The document said the nations were\u00a0<strong>united against destruction of cultural heritage\u00a0<\/strong>whether intentional or collateral, notably in situations of conflict.<\/li>\n<li>They called for a<strong>\u00a0strengthened and effective global coalition<\/strong>\u00a0to bolster the fight against the illicit trafficking of cultural property.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The document sought cooperation among nations<\/strong>\u00a0and strengthening of appropriate tools to increase the effectiveness of law enforcement collaboration through\u00a0<strong>voluntary data and information exchange.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It sought\u00a0<strong>enhanced research, documentation, awareness-raising and capacity-building\u00a0<\/strong>of specialised cultural professionals, judiciary and law enforcement authorities, etc., to the fight against the illicit trafficking of cultural property.<\/li>\n<li>The document also sought<strong>\u00a0preventive action and regulation of illicitly exported cultural property<\/strong>\u00a0specially in online trade.<\/li>\n<li>It sought\u00a0<strong>an inclusive dialogue on the return and restitution of cultural property\u00a0<\/strong>by enabling\u00a0<strong>alternate dispute resolution mechanisms.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The G-20 nations also reaffirmed their commitment\u00a0<strong>to strengthen institutional and policy frameworks<\/strong>\u00a0to harness living heritage for sustainable development.<\/li>\n<li>The countries\u00a0<strong>recognised the misuse and misappropriation of living cultural heritage<\/strong>, particularly of local communities as well as of indigenous peoples, especially for commercial use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1) How is the G20 Presidency decided?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The G20 Presidency operates on a rotational basis, with a different member nation leading each year.
