{"id":3799,"date":"2023-03-06T12:00:16","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T06:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=3799"},"modified":"2025-03-26T19:29:41","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T13:59:41","slug":"what-is-the-raisina-security-dialogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-the-raisina-security-dialogue\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the Raisina Security Dialogue?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Raisina Security Dialogue:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>conference of intelligence and security chiefs<\/strong> and top officials from around the world.<\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>modeled on the lines of the Munich Security Conference<\/strong> and <strong>Singapore\u2019s Shangri-La Dialogue.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>organized by the Research and Analysis Wing (R&amp;AW)<\/strong> and <strong>the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It was <strong>held for the first time in April 2022.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Raisina Security Dialogue<\/strong> 2023:\n<ul>\n<li>This is the <strong>second edition<\/strong> of the dialogue.<\/li>\n<li>It saw <strong>participation from over 26 countries<\/strong>, including intelligence chiefs from the U.K, Japan, France, and Bahrain.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>focus of the discussions was largely on global security<\/strong>, which encompassed counterterrorism, radicalization, drug trafficking, and illegal arms smuggling, among others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Munich Security Conference:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an <strong>annual conference on international security policy<\/strong> that has been <strong>held in Munich, Bavaria, Germany since 1963.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It has become the <strong>most important independent forum <\/strong>for the exchange of views by <strong>international security policy<\/strong> decision-makers.<\/li>\n<li>The list of attendees includes <strong>heads of state, governments and international organizations, ministers<\/strong>, members of parliament, high-ranking representatives of armed forces, science, and civil society, as well as business and media.<\/li>\n<li>The conference is <strong>held annually in February<\/strong>. The <strong>venue is the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich<\/strong>, Bavaria, Germany.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Shangri-La Dialogue:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is <strong>Asia&#8217;s premier defense and security summit.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is attended <strong>by Defence Ministers, permanent heads of ministries and military chiefs <\/strong>of 28 <strong>Asia-Pacific countries.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>organized by<\/strong> an independent think-thank, <strong>International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The summit is <strong>named after the Shangri-La hotel in Singapore,<\/strong> where it has been held since 2002.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)What is the Raisina Dialogue?<\/h3>\n<p>It is India\u2019s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, committed to addressing the most challenging issues facing the global community.
