ISRO has launched <strong>GSAT satellites that have GAGAN payloads for tracking the movement of trains.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Applications of RTIS:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>RTIS <strong>gives mid-section updates<\/strong> with a <strong>periodicity of 30 seconds<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The Train Control can now <strong>track the location and speed of RTIS-enabled locomotives\/train more closely<\/strong>, without any manual intervention.<\/li>\n<li>It <strong>allows passengers to get the real-time location<\/strong> or train running status of a train <strong>on their smartphone<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1)\u00a0What is the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS)?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems) is an organization under Ministry of Railways. CRIS is a unique combination of competent IT professionals and experienced Railway personnel enabling it to successfully deliver complex Railway IT systems in core areas.
