(OPCW):<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is the i<strong>mplementing body of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mission<\/strong>: To i<strong>mplement the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC)<\/strong> in order to achieve the OPCW\u2019s vision of a <strong>world that is free of chemical weapons and of the threat of their use<\/strong>, and in which cooperation in chemistry for peaceful purposes for all is fostered.<\/li>\n<li>Its <strong>headquarters <\/strong>are located in <strong>The Hague, Netherlands.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The OPCW <strong>receives states-parties\u2019 declarations detailing chemical weapons-related activities <\/strong>or materials and relevant industrial activities.<\/li>\n<li>The OPCW is <strong>authorized to perform inspections<\/strong> to verify that signatory states are complying with the convention.<\/li>\n<li>It also <strong>performs testing of sites and victims of suspected chemical weapons attacks<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>OPCW reports<\/strong> on its inspections and other activities<strong> to the UN through the office of the secretary-general.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The OPCW was awarded the <strong>Nobel Peace Prize in 2013.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC):<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>multilateral treaty that bans chemical weapons<\/strong> and requires their destruction within a specified period of time.<\/li>\n<li>It <strong>entered into force on April 29, 1997.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The CWC r<strong>equires states-parties to declare in writing to the OPCW their chemical weapons stockpiles<\/strong>, chemical weapons production facilities (CWPFs), relevant chemical industry facilities, and other weapons-related information.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>CWC is open to all nations and currently has 193 states-parties.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>When were Chemical weapons first used in modern warfare?<\/h3>\n<p>In modern warfare, chemical weapons were first used in World War I (1914\u201318), during which
