These are the massive anvil or mushroom-shaped clouds that are seen during thunderstorms which can reach heights up to 65,000 feet.<\/li>\n<li>There must be <strong>strong currents of air ascending through these clouds.<\/strong> These currents are commonly <strong>known as updrafts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The clouds will need to contain <strong>high concentrations of supercooled liquid water<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>How are Hails formed?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It <strong>begins as a water droplet<\/strong> that is <strong>swept up by an updraft<\/strong> inside of a thundercloud.<\/li>\n<li>Other <strong>supercooled water droplets<\/strong> which are already present inside the cloud will <strong>adhere to the water droplet\u2019s surface<\/strong>, <strong>forming layers of ice around<\/strong> it.<\/li>\n<li>As the <strong>water droplet reaches higher elevations<\/strong> within the cloud, <strong>it comes into contact with more<\/strong> and more <strong>supercooled particles.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>hail embryo will grow larger<\/strong> and larger as it reaches higher altitudes in the updraft.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, <strong>it will reach a size and weight where gravity will begin to act on it and pull it down.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1)\u00a0What is a Sleet?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Sleet is defined as pellets of ice that fall as a form of precipitation.Sleet is a type of precipitation distinct from snow, hail, and freezing rain.
