It<\/span><b> now spans less than a tenth of the area it covered in the 1960s.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lake is <\/span><b>endorheic <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><b>no outlet to the sea<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 1,400-km-long<\/span><b> Chari River <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is the<\/span><b> main river feeding i<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nto the lake.
