{"id":40255,"date":"2024-03-27T11:02:36","date_gmt":"2024-03-27T05:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=40255"},"modified":"2025-10-13T13:58:46","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T08:28:46","slug":"krishi-integrated-command-and-control-centre-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/krishi-integrated-command-and-control-centre-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Krishi Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What\u2019s in Today\u2019s Article?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Why in News?<\/li>\n<li>What is the Krishi ICCC?<\/li>\n<li>How will the Krishi ICCC Work?<\/li>\n<li>What Information will the Krishi ICCC Provide?<\/li>\n<li>What is the Significance of the ICCC?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Why in News?<\/h2>\n<p>Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture &amp; Farmers&#8217; Welfare (MoA&amp;FW) inaugurated a Krishi Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) set up at Krishi Bhavan in New Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>A big-screen dashboard of all digital innovations in the sector, the ICCC marks a \u201csignificant leap forward\u201d in leveraging technology for the advancement of agricultural practices.<\/p>\n<h2>What is the Krishi ICCC?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The ICCC is a tech-based solution involving multiple IT applications and platforms, which is designed to help in making informed decisions.<\/li>\n<li>The centre is housed in the MoA&amp;FW, which is responsible for legislation, policy formation, and implementation of initiatives in the agriculture sector.<\/li>\n<li>The ICCC uses state of the art technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), remote sensing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to collect and process large amounts of granular data.<\/li>\n<li>The ICCC uses platforms including the Krishi Decision Support System (DSS) to collect micro-level data, process it, and present the macro picture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How will the Krishi ICCC Work?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The AI-\/ machine learning-based system will identify a farmer through his\/ her mobile number or Aadhaar.<\/li>\n<li>Then, the system will match it with the farmer\u2019s field information obtained through land records, historical crop sowing information from the crop registry, weather data from IMD, etc.<\/li>\n<li>It will then generate a customised advisory in the local language of the farmer.
