{"id":4162,"date":"2023-03-11T12:40:05","date_gmt":"2023-03-11T07:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=4162"},"modified":"2025-03-26T22:13:16","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T16:43:16","slug":"wins-awards-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/wins-awards-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"WINS Awards 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About WINS Awards 2023:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The WINS Awards 2023 aims to recognize <strong>celebrate and disseminate inspiring and exemplary initiatives in urban sanitation and waste management<\/strong> by women-led organizations and individual women.<\/li>\n<li>Applications for the Awards are open to Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Micro-enterprises,\u00a0 Non-Government Organisations, Startups and Individual Women Leaders\/Swachhata champions.<\/li>\n<li>Applications will be considered under the thematic areas of <strong>Management of Community\/Public Toilets\u00a0 Septic Tanks, Cleaning Services Treatment Facilities<\/strong> (Used Water\/Septage),\u00a0 Municipal Water collection and \/or Transportation, Operation of Material Recovery Facilities and Others.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Process:<\/strong> The Application Form will be made available to all States.<\/li>\n<li>States &amp; Cities will publicize details of WINS Awards 2023 via their website, portals, and social media.<\/li>\n<li>Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) will evaluate entries &amp; nominate up to 5 applicants to the State via the <strong>Swachhatam portal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>ULBs can organize public felicitation of their nominees as <strong>city winners.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>ULB-wise nominations will be evaluated at the State level. Up to 3 entries in each category will be nominated by the State to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).<\/li>\n<li>A state can organize public felicitation of nominees as State winners.<\/li>\n<li>State nominations will be evaluated at the national level on their innovativeness, impact, uniqueness, sustainability &amp; replicability.<\/li>\n<li>At the national level, the MoHUA team will set up a Jury to evaluate the applications and select winners in each category.<\/li>\n<li>The Jury shall comprise stakeholders from cities and States, independent experts, brand ambassadors, influencers and industry representatives.
