{"id":4194,"date":"2023-01-24T07:07:03","date_gmt":"2023-01-24T01:37:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=4194"},"modified":"2025-03-26T22:26:15","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T16:56:15","slug":"g20-chief-science-advisers-roundtable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/g20-chief-science-advisers-roundtable\/","title":{"rendered":"G20-Chief Science Advisers Roundtable"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About the G20-Chief Science Advisers Roundtable<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>government-to-government level initiative<\/strong> conceptualised through India\u2019s G20-Presidency.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It will be an effective platform to discuss and achieve solutions to some of the long pending as well as anticipated issues related to <strong>scientific research, technology development and deployment.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Under this initiative, the Chief Science Advisers and their equivalents of G20 member countries, as well as the invited countries will discuss and develop collaborative frameworks for all involved countries.<\/li>\n<li>This initiative will also help in establishing an effective and coherent global science advice mechanism.<\/li>\n<li>The two high-level G20-CSAR meetings will be organised \u2013 the 1st G20-CSAR during 26-28 March 2023 at Hyderabad and the 2nd G20-CSAR during 27-29 Aug 2023 at Bengaluru.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is G20?<\/h3>\n<p>The G20 or Group of Twenty is an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union (EU).
