technique<\/strong>\u00a0that involves\u00a0<strong>modifying or replacing faulty genes<\/strong>\u00a0in a person\u2019s cells to\u00a0<strong>treat or prevent diseases<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The primary objective is to\u00a0<strong>introduce a functional gene<\/strong>\u00a0to compensate for a\u00a0<strong>mutated or disease-causing gene<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Gene therapy approaches include:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Replacing<\/strong>\u00a0a mutated gene with a\u00a0<strong>healthy copy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inactivating<\/strong>\u00a0a malfunctioning
