{"id":4800,"date":"2025-07-23T12:27:16","date_gmt":"2025-07-23T06:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=4800"},"modified":"2025-07-24T11:16:01","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T05:46:01","slug":"what-is-special-assistance-to-states-for-capital-investment-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-special-assistance-to-states-for-capital-investment-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"SASCI Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>SASCI Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of Tourism issued operational guidelines for the SASCI Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About SASCI Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/special-assistance-to-states-for-capital-investment-2023-24-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\">Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Development of Iconic Tourist Centres to Global Scale\u2019(SASCI) has the objective to comprehensively <\/span><b>develop iconic tourist centres<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>the country,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> branding and marketing them at global scale.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Salient features of SASCI Scheme: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has an endeavor of <\/span><b>developing end to end tourist experience,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> funding support to the shortlisted proposals, strengthening all points of the tourist value chain, harnessing quality expertise for design and development, sustainable operations and maintenance etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this scheme projects have been identified based on the <\/span><b>project proposals submitted<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the <\/span><b>concerned State Governments.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Parameters:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Examination on the prescribed parameters such as <\/span><b>connectivity to the site,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tourism eco-system, <\/span><b>carrying capacity, sustainability measures<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, sustainable operation and management, project impact and value created, tourism marketing plans etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Time Period:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The projects are implemented and managed by the concerned State Government and projects are to be developed and <\/span><b>completed within maximum 2 year\u2019s period<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b> <b>Government of India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will release funds under this scheme <\/span><b>up to 31st March, 2026.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2146390#:~:text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scheme provides financial assistance to  States in form of interest-free loans for capital investment projects.
