400;\">Recently, the Centre has approved all 28 major projects proposed by the Delhi government under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an important scheme of the Central government under which states and Union Territories receive <\/span><b>interest-free financial aid for infrastructure projects.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is managed by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Finance.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SASCI was <\/span><b>launched in 2020-21<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> amid the financial stress caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Salient features of SASCI Scheme<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this, the Centre <\/span><b>provides long-term, 50-year interest-free loans<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to states and union territories to boost capital spending.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also provides incentives tied to reforms and capital investment by states.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has an endeavor of <\/span><b>developing end to end tourist experience<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>funding support to the shortlisted proposals,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> strengthening all points of the tourist value chain, harnessing quality expertise for design and development, sustainable operations and maintenance etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this scheme projects have been identified based on the project proposals submitted by <\/span><b>the concerned State Governments.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:
