and 65 years of age.<\/p>\n<h2>About Phthalates<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Phthalates are a family of\u00a0<strong>chemical compounds<\/strong>\u00a0primarily\u00a0<strong>used in plastic products\u00a0<\/strong>(most\u00a0<strong>commonly in<\/strong>\u00a0the specific type of plastic named<strong>\u00a0polyvinyl chloride,<\/strong>\u00a0also known as\u00a0<strong>PVC\u00a0<\/strong>or vinyl).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Phthalates are the\u00a0<strong>most commonly used plasticisers<\/strong>\u00a0in the world and are categorised as high and low phthalates depending on the molecular weight.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Applications:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Phthalates may beblended as an\u00a0<strong>additive into special plastics<\/strong>\u00a0in order to i<strong>ncrease the performance\u00a0<\/strong>of the material.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Phthalates are used to\u00a0<strong>soften plastics, making them\u00a0<\/strong>more\u00a0<strong>flexible or
