font-size: 35px; font-style: inherit;\">About Panchayat Advancement Index<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a\u00a0<strong>multi-domain and multi-sectoral index<\/strong>\u00a0that is intended to be used to assess the overall\u00a0<strong>holistic development, performance &amp; progress of Panchayats.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It aims to assess and measure the\u00a0<strong>progress made by grassroots-level institutions<\/strong>\u00a0in achieving localized SDGs, thereby contributing to the attainment of SDG 2030.<\/li>\n<li>The index takes into account various socio-economic indicators and parameters to gauge the well-being and development status of the local communities within the jurisdiction of a Panchayat.<\/li>\n<li>One of the purposes of the PAI is to\u00a0<strong>identify the development gaps of the Panc<\/strong>hayats through the scores achieved across various LSDG themes and enable the Panchayat for evidence-based planning at grassroots level.<\/li>\n<li>It has been compiled based on\u00a0<strong>435 unique local Indicators<\/strong>\u00a0(331 mandatory &amp; 104 optional) consisting of 566 unique data points across\u00a0<strong>9 themes of LSDGs<\/strong>\u00a0(Localization of Sustainable Development Goals) aligned with\u00a0<strong>National Indicator Framework<\/strong>\u00a0(NIF) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).<\/li>\n<li>The PAI reflects India\u2019s commitment to achieving the\u00a0<strong>SDG 2030 Agenda<\/strong>\u00a0through participatory, bottom-up development.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Based on the PAI scores &amp;
