{"id":48845,"date":"2025-08-07T11:26:52","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T05:56:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=48845"},"modified":"2025-08-07T12:41:06","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T07:11:06","slug":"yashoda-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/yashoda-ai\/","title":{"rendered":"Yashoda AI"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Yashoda AI Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Minister of State for Women and Child Development informed the Rajya Sabha about the Yashoda AI.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Yashoda AI<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an <\/span><b>AI Literacy Program for Women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> titled as \u201c<\/span><b>Yashoda AI\u201d since May 2025.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To equip women in the Country with <\/span><b>AI literacy to enhance digital inclusion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and empower them in areas of cyber security, digital privacy and safe online practices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><b>initiative of the National Commission for Women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NCW) in collaboration with Future Shift Labs (FSL).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program aims to go beyond traditional learning by hosting in-depth discussions on critical issues such as <\/span><b>AI-driven crimes, digital privacy, and practical safety strategies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this program, about 2500 women from rural and semi-urban locations, including Members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Local elected representatives such as Sarpanchs, Pradhans, Parshads, Mayors, MLAs, ASHA workers\u00a0 etc have been imparted training till date.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Key Facts about National Commission for Women<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was set up as a statutory<\/span><b> body<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 in 1992 under the <\/span><b>National Commission for Women Act, 1990<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Composition:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Commission shall consist of a <\/span><b>Chairperson, 5 Members<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and a Member-Secretary who are nominated by the Central Government.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Term:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Chairperson and every Member shall hold <\/span><b>office for a period of three years.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Powers:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Commission, while investigating, <\/span><b>shall have all the powers of a civil court<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in respect of the following matters<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Summoning and enforcing the attendance of any person from any part of India and examining him\/her on oath.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requiring the discovery and production of any document.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Receiving evidence on affidavits.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisitioning any public record or copy thereof from any court or office.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses and documents.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleseDetail.aspx?PRID=2153029#:~:text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yashoda AI is the initiative of the National Commission for Women (NCW) in collaboration with Future Shift Labs (FSL).
