Kheer Bhawani temple on the occasion of Jyeshta Ashtami.<\/p>\n<h2>About Kheer Bhawani Temple<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a\u00a0<strong>Hindu temple<\/strong>\u00a0situated at Tulla Mulla village\u00a0<strong>near Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is dedicated to Hindu\u00a0<strong>Goddess Ragnya Devi,<\/strong>\u00a0an\u00a0<strong>incarnation of Goddess Durga.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maharaja Pratap Singh built<\/strong>\u00a0this temple\u00a0<strong>in 1912,\u00a0<\/strong>which was later\u00a0<strong>renovated by Maharaja Hari Singh.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The temple was originally named Bhawani Mandir but eventually came to be\u00a0<strong>known as Kheer Bhawani due to<\/strong>\u00a0the famous\u00a0<strong>Indian dessert Kheer,<\/strong>\u00a0which is the\u00a0<strong>main offering\u00a0<\/strong>to the goddess.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Goddess Ragnya Devi is prominently worshipped as Kuldevi or the\u00a0<strong>patron deity by the Kashmiri Pandits.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The most significant event connected with the temple is the\u00a0<strong>annual festival of Mela Kheer Bhawani<\/strong>, celebrated on the Zyeshta Ashtami during May or June.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Kheer Bhawani Temple Architecture<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The architecture of the temple is simple yet beautifully created using\u00a0<strong>smooth grey stones.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>main altar\u00a0<\/strong>of the temple is\u00a0<strong>built amidst a pond.<\/strong>\u00a0This structure\u00a0<strong>hosts a marble platform<\/strong>\u00a0on which the\u00a0<strong>idol of the goddess is placed\u00a0<\/strong>in the sanctum sanctorum.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It is bracketed by four
