{"id":49302,"date":"2025-09-22T09:18:50","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T03:48:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=49302"},"modified":"2025-09-22T13:49:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T08:19:06","slug":"clean-plant-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/clean-plant-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Clean Plant Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Clean Plant Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Clean Plant Programme (CPP) which was approved by the Union Cabinet is gaining momentum in its implementation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Clean Plant Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was conceptualized by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Agriculture &amp; Farmers Welfare in collaboration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the <\/span><b>Asian Development Bank<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched as a major initiative to provide farmers with <\/span><b>access to high-quality, virus-free planting material <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of key fruit crops.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Implemented by:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is implemented by the National Horticulture Board (NHB) in association with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/indian-council-of-agricultural-research-icar\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Indian Council of Agricultural Research<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ICAR)<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><b>Components of Clean Plant Programme<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Establishment of Nine Clean Plant Centers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CPCs): These centres will offer disease <\/span><b>diagnostics and treatments, develop mother plants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for nurseries, and quarantine all domestic and imported planting materials intended for commercial propagation and distribution.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Infrastructure Development:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This includes setting <\/span><b>up large-scale nurseries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to efficiently multiply clean planting material.
