International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI), organised by the New Delhi-headquartered Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), was held on June 6 and 7 in Nice, France.<\/p>\n<h2>About Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It was\u00a0<strong>established in 2019<\/strong>\u00a0under the leadership of the Government of India and with the support of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR).<\/li>\n<li>It is a\u00a0<strong>multi-stakeholder global partnership of national governments<\/strong>, UN agencies and programmes, multilateral development banks, the private sector, and academic institutions.<\/li>\n<li>It aims to\u00a0<strong>promote the resilience of infrastructure systems<\/strong>\u00a0to climate and disaster risks, thereby ensuring sustainable development.<\/li>\n<li>It seeks to rapidly expand the development and retrofit of resilient infrastructure to respond to the\u00a0<strong>Sustainable Development Goals imperatives<\/strong>\u00a0of expanding\u00a0<strong>universal access to basic services<\/strong>, enabling prosperity and decent work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Mission of Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>By 2050,<\/strong>\u00a0to drive\u00a0<strong>US$10 trillion<\/strong>\u00a0of new and existing infrastructure investments and services to be resilient to natural hazards and climate change.<\/li>\n<li>Improving environmental quality, livelihoods, and overall well-being for more\u00a0<strong>than 3 billion people worldwide.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Governance of Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Governing Council:<\/strong>\u00a0Includes all member countries and organisations, meets yearly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Executive Committee:<\/strong>\u00a0Oversees programmes and decisions, meets twice a year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Secretariat:<\/strong>\u00a0Led by the Director General, runs day-to-day operations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Funding:<\/strong>\u00a0It is funded by\u00a0<strong>voluntary contributions<\/strong>\u00a0from member countries and organisations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Members:\u00a0<\/strong>It consists of<strong>\u00a046 member countries<\/strong>\u00a0and 8 partner
