{"id":50256,"date":"2025-06-14T14:34:43","date_gmt":"2025-06-14T09:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=50256"},"modified":"2025-06-14T15:03:33","modified_gmt":"2025-06-14T09:33:33","slug":"gyan-post-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/gyan-post-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Gyan Post Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Gyan Post Service Latest News<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the department of Posts has introduced \u2018Gyan Post\u2019, service to deliver educational books.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>About Gyan Post Service<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>dedicated postal service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for affordable delivery <\/span><b>of educational, cultural, social and religious books.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative aligns with the objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP) and aims to bridge the educational divide by making printed <\/span><b>educational material more accessible<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and affordable across India, including remote and rural areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is operational through <\/span><b>all Departmental post offices<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and is offering a traceable surface mail service for eligible book packets.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Salient Features of \u2018Gyan Post\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is available at all Departmental Post Offices w.e.f. 01 May 2025.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will deliver non-commercial printed educational content only.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Minimum rate:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 20 for packets up to 300 grams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Maximum rate:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 100 for packets up to 5 kilograms (excluding applicable taxes).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A tracking facility will be available to ensure transparency and reliability.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Strict eligibility:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Only <\/span><b>books without commercial<\/b> <b>ads<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or promotional content are accepted.
