{"id":5052,"date":"2026-09-12T12:38:35","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T07:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=5052"},"modified":"2026-09-12T15:07:48","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T09:37:48","slug":"digital-india-land-records-modernisation-programme-dilrmp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/digital-india-land-records-modernisation-programme-dilrmp\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) 3.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) 3.0 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the government has launched the operational guidelines for the third phase of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP 3.0) with an outlay of Rs 565.5 crore.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) 3.0<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is aimed at <\/span><b>integrating land records, maps<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, registrations and related data <\/span><b>through a GIS-based digital framework.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Background<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Government of India <\/span><b>in 2008, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">merged <\/span><b>Strengthening of Revenue Administration and Updating of Land Records<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SRA &amp; ULR) and <\/span><b>the Computerization of Land Records<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CLR) and named it as National<\/span><b> Land Records Modernization Program<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NLRMP).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NLRMP was brought under the \u201cDigital India\u201d ambit and re-named as <\/span><b>Digital India Land Records Modernization Program (DILRMP) in 2016.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Time Period: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a five<\/span><b> year initiative i.e <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2026-31.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is a <\/span><b>central sector scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with 100% central funding.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Implemented by:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Department of Land Resources (DoLR), <\/span><b>Ministry of Rural Development, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">real-time progress monitored by an upgraded <\/span><b>DILRMP-MIS dashboard.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of\u00a0 Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) 3.0<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Universal Bhu-Aadhaar (ULPIN):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A framework to assign a <\/span><b>14-digit unique identification number to every land parcel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the country, ensuring secure and unmistakable identity for all properties.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Digitisation of Maps and Georeferencing:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Complete digitization of <\/span><b>cadastral maps<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> embedded with exact geographical coordinates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Paperless Property Registration:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The introduction of <\/span><b>end-to-end online, paperless registration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a new Registration Repository.
