text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>long-range hypersonic cruise missile.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>indigenously developed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by India\u2019s <\/span><b>Defence Research and Development Organisation <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(DRDO) under a classified initiative known as \u2018<\/span><b>Project Vishnu\u2019.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designed for <\/span><b>launch from land, sea, or air, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the missile enhances India\u2019s flexibility across strike platforms and mission types.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once operational, it will <\/span><b>place India among the handful of nations,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including the <\/span><b>US, China, and Russia, to field hypersonic weapon systems.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Extended Trajectory-Long Duration Hypersonic Cruise Missile Features<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ET-LDHCM system reportedly reaches speeds up to<\/span><b> Mach 8, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or about <\/span><b>11,000 kmph.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designed for both <\/span><b>conventional and nuclear missions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the missile can carry <\/span><b>warheads weighing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between 1,000 and <\/span><b>2,000 kg<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> over a <\/span><b>range of approximately 1,500 km.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unlike ballistic missiles, the ET-LDHCM <\/span><b>flies at low altitudes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and is <\/span><b>capable of course correction mid-flight.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its speed, altitude-hugging flight profile, and mid-air manoeuvrability are <\/span><b>designed to evade modern radar and air defence s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ystems, enabling deep strikes into adversary territory.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Powered by a scramjet engine<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that uses atmospheric oxygen to sustain high speeds, the missile marks a major propulsion breakthrough.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
