{"id":5124,"date":"2022-12-16T08:20:50","date_gmt":"2022-12-16T02:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=5124"},"modified":"2025-03-27T04:25:00","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T22:55:00","slug":"registration-under-bharat-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/registration-under-bharat-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration under Bharat Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Bharat (BH) Series:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The BH series registration mark vide General Statutory Rule (GSR) 594(E) was introduced on August 26, 2021.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>This has come into force with effect from 15th September, 2021.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It has been incorporated in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.<\/li>\n<li>The implementation of Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 is under the <strong>purview of the State Governments\/UT administration.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It has been introduced for citizens working in Government offices or in private organizations with offices in four or more States\/UTs, on voluntary basis.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Applicants, working in Government offices, can avail BH Series facility on the basis of their official ID Card.<\/li>\n<li>Private Sector employees are required to submit a working certificate, certifying that their organization has offices in 4 or more States\/UTs.<\/li>\n<li>Currently, only new vehicles are being registered under the BH Series.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Implementation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>So far, 24 states and UTs have rolled out the new Bharat Series (BH-series) for vehicle registration and so far over 20,000 vehicles have been registered across the states.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Q1)\u00a0What is the BH number plate and what is the benefit?<\/p>\n<p>The Government of India introduced the BH Number Plate or Bharat Series Registration Number for non-transport vehicles in August 2021 to remove the obligation of transferring vehicle registration after moving from one state to the other.
