{"id":51618,"date":"2026-08-12T12:07:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T06:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=51618"},"modified":"2026-08-12T14:01:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T08:31:09","slug":"navya-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/navya-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"NAVYA Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>NAVYA Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) informed\u00a0 the Lok Sabha about the NAVYA Programme.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About NAVYA Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational training for Young Adolescent Girls) was <\/span><b>launched in 2025.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to empower <\/span><b>adolescent girls (AGs) aged 16\u201318 years<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in aspirational districts by equipping them with relevant skills for socio-economic independence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a joint initiative of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Skill Development &amp; Entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>Ministry of Women &amp; Child Development.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is being implemented under the <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/pradhan-mantri-kaushal-vikas-yojana-pmkvy\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0<\/a> (PMKVY 4.0).<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of\u00a0 NAVYA Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Skill Training:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It focuses on <\/span><b>empowering trained candidates to pursue diverse career pathways<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by providing <\/span><b>industry-relevant skill courses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with embedded On-the-Job Training (OJT).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Main Focus: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under NAVYA, special emphasis is placed on <\/span><b>training in futuristic job roles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, along with a mandatory Holistic Development Module covering digital literacy, financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship orientation etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Monitoring:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Government monitors and evaluates the implementation and outcomes of this programme through a <\/span><b>robust monitoring framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Skill India Digital Hub<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SIDH) is <\/span><b>leveraged for real-time tracking of beneficiary<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> registration, attendance, training progress, certification and other key performance indicators.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regular review meetings are conducted with Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs), State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs) and other stakeholders to assess progress and address implementation-related issues.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2297193&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAVYA Programme aims to empower adolescent girls (AGs) aged 16\u201318 years in aspirational districts by equipping them with relevant skills for socio-economic independence.
