{"id":51618,"date":"2025-08-20T11:07:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T05:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=51618"},"modified":"2025-08-20T12:41:32","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T07:11:32","slug":"navya-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/navya-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"NAVYA Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>NAVYA Initiative Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) informed\u00a0 the Lok Sabha about the NAVYA Initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About NAVYA Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational training for Young Adolescent Girls) <\/span><b>aims to empower adolescent girls<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (AGs) <\/span><b>aged 16\u201318 years<\/b> <b>in aspirational districts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by equipping them <\/span><b>with relevant skills for socio-economic independence.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a joint initiative of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Skill Development &amp; Entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>Ministry of Women &amp; Child Development.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Objective of<\/b> <b>NAVYA Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide <\/span><b>demand-driven vocational training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aligned with traditional and non-traditional sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facilitate <\/span><b>holistic development through modules<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on health, nutrition, hygiene, financial literacy, life skills, and legal awareness.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Promote employability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, self-employment, and forward linkages such as internships, apprenticeships, and job opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Strengthen gender-inclusive skilling<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and create a safe, supportive training environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bridge the gap between education and livelihood, particularly for girls in underserved and remote areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the NAVYA initiative, it has been decided to train 3850 adolescent girls under <\/span><b>Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (PMKVY 4.0) in <\/span><b>non-traditional and modern job roles <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">such as digital marketing, cybersecurity, AI-enabled services, green jobs, and other emerging sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further, <\/span><b>training in life skills, financial literacy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and digital competence is to be provided to equip them for both current and future workforce demands.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2157512#:~:text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAVYA Initiative, the joint pilot initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), in convergence with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
