{"id":51740,"date":"2025-06-25T13:12:01","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T07:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=51740"},"modified":"2025-06-25T14:20:56","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T08:50:56","slug":"training-of-trainers-tot-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/training-of-trainers-tot-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR), under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, has launched a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">aimed at strengthening the <\/span><b>financial autonomy of Panchayats.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It focuses on enhancing the <\/span><b>capacity of Panchayats<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to generate their <\/span><b>Own Source Revenue (OSR).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative is being implemented under the <\/span><b>Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (RGSA) in collaboration with the <\/span><b>Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Training of Trainers on OSR marks a structured and forward-looking initiative to build <\/span><b>robust, responsive, and financially capable Panchayats<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across the country.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Key Facts about Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched on 24th <\/span><b>April 2018<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as an umbrella scheme of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of India.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a unique scheme proposed to <\/span><b>develop and strengthen the Panchayati Raj System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across India in the rural areas implemented during 2018-19 to 2021-22.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme was revamped and the <\/span><b>Centrally Sponsored Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) was approved for the implementation from financial year <\/span><b>2022-23 to 2025-26<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for capacity building of elected representative of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary objective of Revamped RGSA is to <\/span><b>develop the governance capabilities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Panchayats to <\/span><b>deliver on Sustainable Development Goals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SDGs) which are covered within the purview of Panchayats.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Revamped RGSA extends to all <\/span><b>States and Union Territories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (UTs) of the country including institutions of rural local government in non-Part IX areas, where Panchayats do not exist.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/ddnews.gov.in\/en\/mopr-partners-with-iim-ahmedabad-to-train-panchayats-in-generating-own-source-revenue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><b>DD News<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Training of Trainers (ToT) programme focuses on enhancing the capacity of Panchayats to generate their Own Source Revenue (OSR).
