Observer Mission\u2019 to boost maritime cooperation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About At Sea Observer Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched by the <\/span><b>QUAD nations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> i.e the Coast Guards of India, Japan, the United States, and Australia.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to stride toward <\/span><b>strengthening maritime security and interoperability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Indo-Pacific, under the <\/span><b>Wilmington Declaration.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two officers, including women officers from each country <\/span><b>have embarked <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on board US Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Stratton, which is currently sailing to Guam.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cross-embarkation mission marks an unprecedented step in QUAD Coast Guard collaboration, enhancing joint readiness, operational coordination, and domain awareness in support of a Free, Open, Inclusive, and Rules-Based Indo-Pacific.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mission reflects the vision laid out at <\/span><b>the QUAD Leaders\u2019 Summit in September 2024<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and signifies a deepening of operational ties between the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Japan Coast Guard (JCG), US Coast Guard (USCG), and Australian Border Force (ABF).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India\u2019s participation reinforces its strategic maritime vision of SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) and complements national efforts under the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI), with an emphasis on capacity-building, humanitarian outreach, and maritime rule of
