{"id":54358,"date":"2025-07-11T11:47:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T06:17:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=54358"},"modified":"2025-07-11T16:12:56","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T10:42:56","slug":"talash-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/talash-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"TALASH Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>TALASH Initiative Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched the TALASH initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About TALASH Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Tribal Aptitude, Life Skills and Self-Esteem Hub (TALASH)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a national- program to support the <\/span><b>all-round development of students in <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ekalavya-model-residential-schools\/\" target=\"_blank\">Eklavya Model Residential Schools<\/a> (EMRSs).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by<\/span><b> National Education Society for Tribal Students<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in<\/span><b> partnership with UNICEF India.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to improve both the <\/span><b>education and personal growth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of tribal students across India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The name TALASH, reflects a focused search for self-awareness, life skills, and career clarity among tribal youth.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first initiative of its kind in India is <\/span><b>aimed specifically at tribal students.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is expected to benefit over 1,38,336 students enrolled in EMRSs across 28 States and 8 Union Territories, making it a truly national movement for inclusive education.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of TALASH Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an <\/span><b>innovative digital platform<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> designed to equip EMRS students with essential tools for <\/span><b>self-discovery and career planning.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>promotes self-awareness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, helps students make informed <\/span><b>career choices, and builds essential life skills.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>The Initiative Offers<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Psychometric Assessments<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Inspired by <\/span><b>NCERT\u2019s \u2018Tamanna\u2019 initiative<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, TALASH offers a common aptitude test to help understand each student\u2019s strengths and interests.
