{"id":5536,"date":"2026-09-13T15:11:30","date_gmt":"2026-09-13T09:41:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=5536"},"modified":"2026-09-13T19:02:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T13:32:13","slug":"badri-cattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/badri-cattle\/","title":{"rendered":"Badri Cattle"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Badri Cattle Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scientists in ICAR\u2019s Karnal-based National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and Pantnagar-based G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology have produced a calf of \u2018Badri\u2019 cattle breed using Ovum Pick-Up and In Vitro Fertilization (OPU-IVF) technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Badri Cattle<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Badri cattle are <\/span><b>a small, hardy breed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and are designated the state animal of <\/span><b>Uttarakhand.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also <\/span><b>known as \u201cPahadi\u201d;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as they are mainly found in <\/span><b>the hilly regions of Uttarakhand.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is well adapted to hilly terrains and climatic conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Appearance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Its common colour is Black, Brown or Grey, but rarely white colour seen in females. Horns are curved-upward and inward.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Badri is a small, active and sure-footed animal.
