It will act as a watchdog for ethical functioning and provide administrative direction to the NSFs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Formation of National Sports Tribunal<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To address the legal logjam in the sporting ecosystem, the Bill proposes the creation of a <\/span><b>National Sports Tribunal (NST)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headed by a Supreme Court judge<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Will resolve disputes related to elections, selection, and internal administration of NSFs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Appeals from the NST\u2019s decisions will lie only with the Supreme Court<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>However, the NST will not cover:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disputes arising during Olympic, Asian, or Commonwealth Games<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Matters governed by international federations<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anti-doping cases, which remain under the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inclusion of BCCI under the Sports Governance Framework<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A notable feature of the Bill is the inclusion of the <\/span><b>BCCI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which until now has operated as an autonomous entity under the <\/span><b>Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and is not officially recognised as an NSF.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the Bill becomes law, the <\/span><b>BCCI will need recognition from the proposed National Sports Board<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BCCI\u2019s disputes will be referred to the National Sports Tribunal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will also come under the purview of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-the-right-to-information-rti-act-2005\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Right to Information (RTI) Act<\/b><\/a><span
