{"id":56747,"date":"2025-07-25T13:32:06","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T08:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=56747"},"modified":"2025-07-25T13:33:06","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T08:03:06","slug":"palna-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/palna-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Palna Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Palna Scheme\u00a0 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Minister of State for Women and Child Development informed the Rajya Sabha about the Palna Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Palna Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Centrally Sponsored Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> introduced by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Women and Child Development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the <\/span><b>Samarthya Vertical of Umbrella Mission Shakti<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for all States and UTs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The objective of the Scheme is to <\/span><b>provide quality cr\u00e8che facilities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a safe and secure environment for children (<\/span><b>from ages 6 months \u2013 6 years<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), nutritional support, health and cognitive development of children, growth monitoring &amp; immunization.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cr\u00e8che facilities under Palna are provided to <\/span><b>all mothers, irrespective of their employment status.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are two types of Cr\u00e8ches under Palna: <\/span><b>Standalone Cr\u00e8ches and Anganwadi-cum-Cr\u00e8ches (AWCCs).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Mission Shakti Guidelines state that the cr\u00e8che timings need to be flexible depending on the local requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cr\u00e8ches <\/span><b>shall be open for 26 days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a month and for seven and half (7.5) hours per day as per the work schedule of the majority of the mothers in the area.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Standard Operating Procedures for AWCCs also state that the Creche timings may be decided by State\/ UT governments as per local need.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For <\/span><b>General States<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> it is in the ratio 60:40, for <\/span><b>North Eastern &amp; Special Category States<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (90:10) UTs with Legislature (60:40) and for UTs without Legislature centre will provide 100% assistance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Services:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The scheme will provide an integrated package of the following services:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daycare Facilities including Sleeping Facilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Early Stimulation for children below 3 years and Pre-school Education for 3 to 6 years old children.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supplementary Nutrition (to be locally sourced)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growth Monitoring.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health Check-up and Immunization<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2147385#:~:text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Palna Scheme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme introduced by the Ministry of Women and Child Development under the Samarthya Vertical of Umbrella Mission Shakti for all States and UTs.
