{"id":5716,"date":"2022-12-13T02:54:51","date_gmt":"2022-12-12T21:24:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=5716"},"modified":"2025-03-27T10:30:04","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T05:00:04","slug":"what-is-eeat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-eeat\/","title":{"rendered":"What is EEAT?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Environment Education, Awareness and Training (EEAT)<\/strong>:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>Central Sector scheme <\/strong><strong>i<\/strong>mplemented by <strong>Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change <\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective<\/strong>: To promote environmental awareness and mobilize students\u2019 participation for environment conservation.<\/li>\n<li>Under this Scheme there are two major programmes namely <strong>Green Corps (NGC) Programme and National Nature Camping Programme (NNCP)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Green Corps (NGC) Programme:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Under this scheme more than 1 lakh Eco-clubs have been formed in schools and colleges to educate students and to <strong>spread awareness on <\/strong><strong>environmental<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A financial assistance of Rs 5,000\/- per Eco-club used to be provided under this programme with a ceiling of 500 school Eco-clubs per district and 100 college Eco-clubs per State.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>National Nature Camping Programme (NNCP)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Under this scheme ,organization of field visits\/ nature camps in different Protected Areas\/ Nature Parks\/ Tiger Reserves of the country for students were supported.<\/li>\n<li>These camps provided \u2018nature experience\u2019 to students and had huge potential to trigger their sensitivity towards nature and its conservation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1)\u00a0<\/strong><strong>What is an Eco Club?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behaviour.
