{"id":57676,"date":"2025-08-01T13:00:52","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T07:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=57676"},"modified":"2025-08-01T13:00:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T07:30:52","slug":"supply-and-use-table","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/supply-and-use-table\/","title":{"rendered":"Supply and Use Table"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Supply and Use Table Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has released the \u2018Supply and Use Tables of 2020-21 and 2021-22\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Supply and Use Table<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It represents a <\/span><b>detailed snapshot of all economic activities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> taking place in the economy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are powerful analytical tools that present the structure of an economy as well as interlinkages among the various economic actors.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Purpose of Supply and Use Tables<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They serve multiple purposes and have gained prominence due to their statistical robustness and analytical flexibility.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They offer a <\/span><b>comprehensive framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that integrates the three approaches to measuring <\/span><b>Gross Domestic Product (GDP)\u2014production, income, and expenditure within a unified structure.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SUT is a very powerful tool for <\/span><b>comparing and reconciling data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from diverse sources, thereby <\/span><b>improving the coherence and consistency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between production and expenditure estimates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supply and Use Tables (SUT) are <\/span><b>presented as two interlinked matrices:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the Supply Table and the Use Table, structured in a product-by-industry matrix.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Supply Table captures the total supply of goods and services, both from <\/span><b>domestic production by industry and from imports<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In contrast, the Use Table records the utilization of these products across various components\u2014intermediate consumption by industries, final consumption, gross capital formation, and exports.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2150113\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supply and Use Table represents a detailed snapshot of all economic activities taking place in the economy.
