{"id":57688,"date":"2025-08-01T14:17:52","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T08:47:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=57688"},"modified":"2025-08-01T14:17:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T08:47:52","slug":"grant-in-aid-to-national-cooperative-development-corporation-ncdc-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/grant-in-aid-to-national-cooperative-development-corporation-ncdc-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Grant in Aid to National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Grant in Aid to National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, recently approved the Central Sector Scheme \u201cGrant in Aid to National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC)\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Grant in Aid to National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Central Sector Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with an outlay of\u00a0 <\/span><b>\u20b92, 000 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for a period of<\/span><b> four years from 2025-26 to 2028-29<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><b>\u20b9500 crore each year<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from FY 2025-26).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>grant <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of \u20b92,000 crore will be <\/span><b>sourced through budgetary support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the Government of India.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The approved <\/span><b>grant will enable NCDC to raise \u20b920,000 crore<\/b> <b>from the open market <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">over the next four years.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These funds will be <\/span><b>utilised by NCDC for granting loans to Cooperatives <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for setting up <\/span><b>new projects\/expansion of plant<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s, and loans for meeting the <\/span><b>working capital requirements.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Benefits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Approximately<\/span><b> 2.9 crore members of 13,288 Cooperative societies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of various sectors like Dairy, Livestock, Fisheries, Sugar, Textile, Food Processing, Storage and Cold Storage;
