Initiative Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Department of Health Research (DHR) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) organized a nationwide open day titled S.H.I.N.E. initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About S.H.I.N.E. Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>SHINE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stands for <\/span><b>Science, Health and Innovation for Nextgen<\/b> <b>Explorers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which is a nationwide<\/span><b> student outreach Program.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a unique initiative of <\/span><b>Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to ignite scientific curiosity, foster innovation and <\/span><b>inspire the next generation of health researchers.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>initiative aimed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to introduce students to the field of health and biomedical research, highlight ICMR\u2019s contributions to improving the nation\u2019s health, and motivate young learners to pursue careers in science and public health,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event drew more than 13,000 students in grades 9-12 from over 300 schools across 39 districts in 16 states and union territories to various ICMR institutes in the country<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme included a range of interactive activities such <\/span><b>as guided laboratory tours, research exhibitions, poster walks,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> video presentations, and live demonstrations of ongoing scientific work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make the experience more engaging, a mascot named Dr. Curio was introduced as a friendly and relatable guide for the students.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2154054\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S.H.I.N.E.
