It also guarantees authenticity of the products originating from India and\/or <\/span><b>crafted with locally sourced raw materials.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a <\/span><b>voluntary certification scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to help manufacturers demonstrate that their products are manufactured in India and are of good quality.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The label <\/span><b>displays a QR code<\/b> <b>and a logo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the information around location of manufacturing, validity of the label and other product specific information.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initiative is being led by <\/span><b>the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Quality Council of India and the India Brand Equity Foundation are actively collaborating with DPIIT in an advisory capacity.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Objectives of the Made in India Label<\/b> <b>Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme <\/span><b>provides identity to<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the product based on its origin<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It develops a mechanism to qualify and brand the products of Indian origin<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also <\/span><b>supports in recognising the products<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Indian origin in domestic as well as international market<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Made in India Label <\/span><b>strengthens the positioning of the product<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the competitive market, as the label would indicate authenticity, quality and differentiation among other products.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Eligibility Criteria<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manufacturers and producers who manufacture or assemble their products wholly or substantially in India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each product has a specific quality and manufacturing criteria set by <\/span><b>relevant regulatory bodies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which needs to be met before obtaining the permission.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressNoteDetails.aspx?NoteId=155053&amp;ModuleId=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Made in India Label Scheme aims to strengthen the reputation of the products manufactured in India.
