Security Council resolution 2589<\/strong>, which was adopted in August last year under India\u2019s Presidency of the Council.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Resolution 2589<\/strong> had called upon member states, hosting or having hosted United Nations peacekeeping operations, to take all appropriate measures to bring to justice perpetrators of the killing of, and all acts of violence against United Nations personnel, including, but not limited to, their detention and abduction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What are the United Nations Peacekeeping forces?<\/h3>\n<p>The United Nations Peacekeeping Forces are employed by the World Organization to maintain or re-establish peace in an area of armed conflict.
